Cambridge Nationals Level 1/Level 2 Information Technologies – students study theory of IT and project management alongside developing advanced skills in database and spreadsheet design.  The assessment of this course consists of a written examination (1 hour and 45 minutes) which covers all theory and an assignment project (20 hours) which must be completed under controlled assessment conditions.  Cambridge Nationals Level 1/Level 2 Creative iMedia – students study both the theory of pre-production and develop knowledge and skills in a multitude of digital areas including digital graphics, interactive multimedia products, video and sound editing and using bespoke creative software (currently the Adobe suite).   Assessment consists of 4 equally weighted areas including a written exam paper on the theory of pre-production i.e. mood boards, storyboards and scripts, camera shot types, legislation such as copyright and trademarks and health and safety issues, along with three creative projects (10 hours each) which must be completed under controlled assessment conditions.
